Dr. Rachel Lootens

Dr. Lootens is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist.

Dr. Rachel Lootens is a Houston native and optometrist with a passion for comprehensive, patient-centered care. She holds undergraduate degrees in Nutritional Science and Music, and earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received four Clinical Letters of Excellence for outstanding patient care.

Dr. Lootens has advanced training in ocular disease, dry eye management, pediatric eye care, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management including LASIK and cataract care. Her approach integrates her background in nutrition and fitness, promoting whole-body wellness alongside ocular health.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Lootens enjoys baking, reading, crafts, fitness, and singing in the Houston Symphony Chorus. She lives in Houston with her fiancé, Jacob, and their dog, Midnight.
