Dr. Vissett S. Sun

Dr. Vissett Sun is a Board Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist.

Dr. Vissett Sun is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. He specializes in contact lenses and laser vision correction. Dr. Sun has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He is a clinical investigator for several contact lens manufacturers and has helped to develop advanced contact lens designs. He has given lectures for continuing education on contact lenses and laser vision correction.

Dr. Sun is an active member of the Space Center Rotary Club and is the past president of the Harris County Optometric Society. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, a current Board member of the Texas Optometric Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. The Texas Optometric Association recognized Dr. Sun as the 2005 Young Optometrist of the Year and he was honored as University of Houston College of Optometry Volunteer of the Year in 2012.

He enjoys playing golf and made his first hole-in-one on St. Patrick’s Day 2013.
